Apart from the three main grape varieties we use as the basis for our 6100 and Eh lines, we are actively working with various indigenous and international cultivars, making some bold experiments and, sometimes, interesting discoveries. The successful trials become basis for some blended or single variety wines produced in small batches. We work with four French grape varieties – Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay (all grown own-rooted in our vineyards), and over a dozen of ancient Armenian white and red cultivars – Qrdichakat, Nazelli, KarmirKoteni, Khatun Kharji, GaranDmak, and others. The JA2Z by Trinity is not a continuous production line but rather an experimental expression of the true potential of Vayots Dzor terroir, which we are still discovering for ourselves.

Areni Ancestors’ Dry red wine 2016

This inimitable wine is made from Areni Noir grapes harvested from centuries-old own-rooted vineyards. It was naturally fermented for over a month and macerated for 5 months in karas, the Armenian terracotta vessels, buried in the ground. The wine is unfined, unfiltered. No added sulfates and eggs. This outstanding expression of Areni Noir grapes combines elegance of air with roughness of earth. Subtle, yet powerful tannins, expressed acidity and long finish create an exceptional balance and complexity. Similarly made wine was used by the villagers of Aghavnadzor as a substitute for water in early 20th century (about 2 liters per day). Elegant fruity bouquet with the typical scents of ripe black fruits, accompanied by the notes of spice and leather. Pairs well with red meats, spicy dishes and hard cheeses.

Trinity 6100 Khatun Kharji Dry white wine 2016

The grapes are harvested during September, at the right degree of ripeness and the expressed level of acidity. Bunches are directly pressed without additional maceration. The fermentation is consistently performed at 13 oC. After the fermentation, the wine is aged on the lies for two weeks. Being one of the oldest cultivated autochthone grape varieties of Vayots Dzor, Khatun Kharji expresses a unique resistance to multiple diseases and extreme weather conditions of the region. Crisp, refreshing with a good body, this wine combines flavours of citrus, freshly cut grass, pear with a slight touch of tropical aromas.

Trinity 6100 Rosé Dry rose wine 2016

The grapes are harvested at the right degree of ripeness and the expressed level of acidity, in the first half of October. Bunches are directly pressed without additional maceration. The fermentation is consistently performed at 13 oC. After the fermentation, the wine is aged on the lies for two weeks. Fresh wild berries touched by spices, refreshing acidity and silky roundness create a beautiful balance and exceptional aftertaste. Enjoy on its own or with fish, seafood, mild cheeses and simple salads.

Trinity 6100 Areni Noir Dry red wine 2016

The grapes are harvested at the right degree of ripeness in the second half of October. Bunches are destemmed and crushed. After a short process of cold maceration, the wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by an extended post-fermentative maceration. The wine is aged for 6 months in Caucasian oak barrels. Elegant fruity bouquet with the typical scents of ripe red fruits accompanied by notes of caramel and vanilla. At the palate, the wine appears with soft ripe tannins, refreshing acidity and long aftertaste. Pairs well with red meats, especially lamb, soft cheeses and spicy pastas.

Trinity Eh Voskehat Dry white wine 2016

The grapes are harvested at the right degree of ripeness and the expressed level of acidity in the beginning of October. A full-bunch press is performed without destemming. The fermentation is consistently performed at 13 oC. After the fermentation, the wine is aged on the lies for two weeks. An extraordinary expression of Voskehat. Fermented in very low temperatures, this wine combines freshness and complexity. Impressive notes of lime peel, freshly cut grass and delicate bitterness in the aftertaste, complemented by refreshing acidity, create a unique flavor profile. Enjoy on its own or with fish, seafood, and simple salads.

Trinity Eh Areni Noir Dry red wine 2015

After meticulous selection, the grapes are harvested at the highest degree of ripeness in early November. After destemming and crushing, “bleeding off” of about 15% of the juice is performed to achieve higher concentration. After a short process of cold maceration, the wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and an extended postfermentative maceration. Aged for 14 months in Caucasian oak barrels. This outstanding expression of Areni Noir grapes combines elegance and eloquence. Subtle, yet powerful tannins, expressed acidity and long finish create an exceptional balance and complexity. Elegant fruity bouquet with the typical scents of ripe black fruits are accompanied by the oaky notes of chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Pairs well with red meats, spicy dishes and hard cheeses.
